Coronado Custom Closets
Closet systems, walk-ins and storage designed for Coronado homes.
Coronado is a central Phoenix neighborhood whose historic district, roughly bounded by Seventh Street, 14th Street, McDowell Road and Virginia Avenue, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
Its homes are mostly bungalows and revival-style houses from the first half of the 1900s, and their closets are small by modern standards. Projects here fit as much storage as possible into narrow closets and add built-in wardrobes in rooms that have little or no closet.
The City of Phoenix lists electrical updates, rewiring and additions among the home projects that need a permit, and it lists painting and new flooring as work that doesn't. Most closet systems are fastened to walls you already have and don't change wiring or framing. When a plan adds hardwired lighting or opens up a wall, we tell you before you sign.
Drawer stacks and double rods in tight spaces.
Cabinetry for rooms with little or no closet.
Painted doors and hardware that suit an older house.
Often. We use shallower shelves and front-facing hooks where a standard rod won't fit.
Interior closet systems don't change the outside of the house. If your plan touches windows or exterior walls, check with the City's historic preservation office first.
